Quality identification of glasses selection
Jan 23,2025

1. Lens transmittance and optical uniformity testing method: Hold the lens about 30 centimeters away from the eye and observe from a distance through the lens. If the visual object is clear, without deformation, and there is no jumping when moving slowly, it indicates that the transparency and optical uniformity of the lens are relatively good.
2. Optical center position testing method: Draw a large cross with a thin line on a white paper, and the strokes should be clear and straight. Hold the lens in hand and observe the shape of the crosshair from the lens with one eye. If the strokes inside and outside the mirror are not on the same line, the lens can be moved to connect the cross strokes inside the lens with those outside the mirror. Use a soft pen to observe a small point at the center of the cross in the lens, which is the optical center. After two lenses point out the optical center, observe and compare whether the optical centers on both sides are symmetrical, and then use a ruler to measure whether the distance between the two center points is consistent with the prescribed pupil distance. If the cross stroke in the lens is bent, it indicates that there is a quality issue with the lens.
matters needing attention
1. Firstly, one should choose a reputable and legitimate optometry center to prepare glasses, as the quality and service of the glasses are guaranteed to some extent.
2. Before fitting glasses, it is necessary to have an optometry examination and not blindly purchase them.
3. After the glasses are made or purchased, the matching personnel will match them according to the face shape. Generally speaking, if the parameters are appropriate, wearing new glasses will make you feel very clear.
4. If any quality issues are found with the product, contact the store promptly.
Glasses need to be cleaned regularly.
It is recommended to take an annual vision test to determine if glasses need to be replaced.
